Janet Elizabeth Frost, 72, passed away, Sunday, April 19, 2015 at a local hospital.
She was born in Ironton, Ohio and has been a resident of Daphne for the past 30 years. She loved to sew and was an amazing seamstress who designed and made her own clothes.
Never meeting a stranger, Janet loved and greeted everybody with a hug. Her family was her heart and will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Frederic Frost; her granddaughter, Jeanna Stewardson; her brothers, Joseph Farkas, James Farkas and Jerry Farkas; and her nephew, David Farkas.
Surviving are her two daughters, Carissa Ann Brown Hoppes (Gerald) and Mary Elizabeth Stewardson-Lindstrom (Chris), both of Foley; her sister, JoAnn; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many other relatives, friends and her rescued and adopted chocolate lab, Cyrus.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Hughes Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Shirley Geer.
The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the local animal shelter of your choice.
