Jane Burch passed away Jan. 21, 2014. She was born in Battles Wharf on Nov. 1, 1949.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve William Payne and Martha Hurst Payne of Fairhope.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Jerry Payne Sr. (Bobbie); and a sister, Lutie Carolyn Tunstall, both of Fairhope. She has two children, Angela Benson (Tim) of Fairhope and
Charles Burch (Crystal) of Fort Campbell Ky.
Jane graduated from Fairhope High School in 1968, and attended Yancy/Faulkner State Community College.
She was an employee of the Mobile County School System for 27 years and was a lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore.
She loved spending time enjoying the bay, and was well-known and loved throughout the community.
Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren, children and friends.
She will be loved and missed by everyone.

A causal gathering of friends and family was held on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 at Fox Run Farm in Barnwell.
