James Harvey Smith, 90, born Dec. 12, 1930 in West Helena, Ark., and a resident of Daphne, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011 at his home in Daphne.
He was preceded in death by his parents J.T. and Catherine Watkins Smith; his wife, Frances Smith; and step-daughter, Karen Horton.
Survivors include a son, James (Patty) Smith of Ashville, N.C.; brother: J.T. (Agnes) Smith, Jr. of Brownsville, Tenn.; aunt, Sara Warren of Georgetown, Texas; step-daughter, Kathie (Larry) Terry of Salem, Va.; step-son-in-law, Henry Horton of Daphne; five grandchildren and two great-grandchldren.
The family wishes to thank special friend and neighbor, Bonnie Lee.
Graveside services were held Friday, Feb. 18 at Jubilee Memorial Gardens
The family requests memorial donations be made to The Crossroads Church at Belforest, 10080 County Road 64, Daphne, AL 36526.
