James Allen Noffsinger, age 68, died peacefully in his sleep of complications from cancer, Dec. 31, 2015 at his home in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Survivors include wife, Linda of Gulf Shores; son, Jeffrey Noffsinger of Loveland, Colo.; daughter, Jodi (Chien) Noffsinger Hwang of San Carlos, Calif.; grandchildren, Kai, Fei and Ren Hwang of San Carlos; brother, Dr. Jay (Sharon) Noffsinger of O’Fallon, Ill.; brother, Jack (Carol) Noffsinger of Littleton, Colo.; sister, Judy (Dave) Washburn of Kettering, Ohio; and sister, Jenny (Brad) Livingston of Lisle, Ill.
Predeceased by parents, Jerald and Dorothy Noffsinger; sister, Jerilyn Thomas.
Jim was born in Union City, Ind. on Jan. 19, 1947. He graduated from Union City Community High School in 1965, and earned a degree in education from Manchester College in 1969 and a master’s degree in education from Ball State University in 1972.
He and Linda (Kauffman) were married in Phillipsburg, Ohio on Aug. 1, 1971.
