Jack Morris, age 84, a native and lifelong resident of the Gateswood community, passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015.
Mr. Morris was a lifelong member of the New Hope United Methodist Church, a member of the Baldwin County Cattlemen’s Association, board member of the Robertsdale Livestock Auction and director of Elam Creek Hunting Club.
He was a 32 Degree Mason and member of Hadji Shriners in Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Morris retired from Monsanto after working there for 30 years, and has always been and remained until his a death a farmer and cattleman.
He is survived by daughter, Kim (Chuck) Fagan of Birmingham, Ala.; three sons, Randy Morris of Gateswood, Ala., Rusty (Karen) Morris of Prattville, Ala., Scott Morris of Gateswood, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Hamilton Baptist Church, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, Gateswood, Ala.
