Iva Viola Long Paul

Iva Viola Long Paul, age 95, born in Grovehill, Ala., and a resident of Rabun, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at Eastern Shore Rehab and Health Center. She was a retired nurse’s aid.

She is survived by three sons, Aubrey Gene Paul and Hank Randall Paul both of Rabun and John Clifton Paul of Loxley; two daughters, Melba Irene Maxwell of Perdido, and Lois L. Hebert of Rabun; twenty grandchildren; thirty-three -great grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Lee Paul; two sons, Less Paul and Josh Paul and one brother, Ellis James Long. The funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. at New Hope Community Church with the Rev. Malcolm Harrelson, Sister Thursia Long and Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Paul Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 from 12 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service at New Hope Community Church. Pallbearers will be Jeff Black, Chris Black, Alvin Paul, Jimmy Smith, Dean Bushnell and Tommy Stephens. Funeral arrangements are by Norris Funeral Home, 402 E. 2nd St., Bay Minette.
