Islands of Perdido work and clean-up day

ORANGE BEACH, AL - A bevy of volunteers showed up Saturday morning to plant 3,000 sand pines and 100 wax myrtles on Robinson and Bird Islands in Perdido Pass. Walker Island was assessed by officials for future plantings. Also, heron nesting platforms were refurbished and bluebird boxes put up in the platform poles. (JOHN MULLEN/Islander Photos)
