Baldwin County Commission announced the completion of intersection improvements at State Route 59 and Hinote Glass Road, a project aimed at improving traffic flow and safety in the Loxley area.

The work included the addition of a dedicated turn lane on State Route 59, roadway alignment enhancements and drainage upgrades along Hinote Glass Road. Officials said the changes were designed to improve capacity through the intersection while also addressing stormwater management needs in the surrounding area.

The intersection serves as a key corridor for Loxley residents and provides access to the new Loxley Elementary School, increasing its importance during daily commute times and school traffic periods.

County officials said the project reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen transportation infrastructure across Baldwin County. The improvements are intended to enhance safety and efficiency for motorists, pedestrians and school traffic using the corridor.
