DEATSVILLE, Alabama — A state inmate who escaped from the Loxley Work Release Center on April 24 was recaptured on Monday.
A tip led U.S. Marshals to an address in Deatsville where they found and apprehended 38-year-old Bobby Lee Taylor. Taylor was taken into custody without incident at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Ryan Edward Wilson, 29, who escaped from the work release center with Taylor, is still at large.
Taylor was serving a 20-year sentence on a 2007 second-degree theft of property conviction in Elmore County. Wilson received a two-year sentence in 2016 for a first-degree theft of property conviction in Jackson County.
