Impact 100 Baldwin County is celebrating 20 years of community philanthropy and looking to grow its membership as the organization prepares for another year of awarding grants to local nonprofits.
The women's philanthropic organization is kicking off its anniversary year with a membership drive and a series of free events across Baldwin County, giving women opportunities to learn about its mission, meet members and explore ways to get involved, a news release from the organization said.
Since its founding, Impact 100 Baldwin County has brought women together to make a collective difference through philanthropy. Members contribute $1,000 each, with those individual donations pooled to fund significant grants for nonprofit organizations serving Baldwin County.
The organization has helped local nonprofits expand their reach, strengthen programs and address important community needs. Its collective contributions have surpassed $7.1 million this year.
As the organization looks toward its 20th year of grantmaking, leaders hope to grow membership enough to make 2027 its most impactful year yet.
"We have big goals as we turn our focus to our 20th year of grant giving,” President-elect Meg Willett said in the release. "To give a record amount of grants in 2027, we need a record number of members. Our membership drive runs now through the end of March, and I encourage anyone interested to attend an upcoming event. Our mission and the work of all our nonprofit partners inspire me daily, and I would love for everyone across Baldwin County to be familiar with what we are doing.”
Beyond providing financial support, Impact 100 gives members an opportunity to participate in the grantmaking process and connect with other women who share a commitment to volunteerism and improving their communities.
"Twenty years is a wonderful milestone, but it is also a reminder that there is still so much we can accomplish together," Nancye Wolfe said. "We look forward to building on this legacy and continuing to invest in the organizations and people who make Baldwin County such a special place to live, work, and serve."
To mark the anniversary and encourage new members, Impact 100 Baldwin County has scheduled a series of membership gatherings, meet-and-mingle events and coffee socials throughout the county. All events are free to attend.
