ImaRee Miller Carter, a native of Monroe County and longtime resident of Gulf Shores, died Thursday, April 4, 2013. She was 92.
In her early days, ImaRee was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary at Gulf Shores American Legion Post 44, where she served as their first president.
Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by husbands, Henry Miller and Lorin Carter; a son, Harry Miller; and granddaughter Samantha Dyess.
She is survived by sons, Clyde (Lynne) Miller and Don (Susie) Miller; daughters, Carolyn (Durwood) Sahr and Gwen (Greg) Bloch; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Friendship Baptist Church in Bon Secour. The visitation will be from 2 until time of service. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
