Ida Heath (Hawkins) Harrison, 86, of Gulf Shores, died Thursday, April 26, 2012, in Robertsdale.
She was the daughter of the late William Hawkins and the late Grace (Walker) Hawkins. She also was preceded in death in which she was the Goldstar wife of George Collier, her second husband William Harrison and her only daughter Carol Engel.
She is survived by two grandsons; Walter E. Engel, Summerdale, and George B. Engel, Stanfordville, N.Y.; and three great-grandchildren, Carol Renee Hawsey, Robertsdale, Zachary P. Engel and Collier D. Engel, Stanfordville, N.Y.; one great-great-grandchild, Chandler S. Steiner, Robertsdale; and long-time friend William D. Stephen III, Orange Beach.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, May 1, at Pine Rest Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 2 p.m. The family has requested that memorial be made in lieu of flowers to Wounded Warrior Project 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256, or The Ronald McDonald House 1626 Springhill Ave. Mobile, AL 36604-1415.
