"I love this bar": Toby Keith restaurant coming to The Wharf

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — Country music legend Toby Keith and partner Frank Capri, CEO of Toby Keith’s I love This Bar & Grill, will open their 12th live music and restaurant venue at The Wharf in the beginning of June.

The world class venue was inspired by Toby Keith’s 2003 hit, “I Love This Bar,” and has since evolved into one of America’s favorite places. The restaurant has more than 1,500 employees nationwide and hosts some of the biggest acts in country music including Trace Atkins, Montgomery Gentry and Gretchen Wilson.

This particular location will be 16,000 square feet and will provide 200-300 new jobs in the Orange Beach area.

Its casual dining experience is a unique one with a spacious 95-foot signature guitar-shaped main bar where patrons can come to relax and have a good beer or perhaps one of the restaurant’s many specialty drinks.

Hundreds of authentic Toby Keith memorabilia will decorate the massive space, while waitresses clad in cowgirl inspired outfits will serve guests generous portions of hearty entrees “just like Mama used to make,” Capri said.

The restaurant serves an assortment of affordable dishes such as whiskey girl wings, bourbon glazed salmon and baby back ribs, the kind of cuisine native southerners know and love.

Aside from the numerous plasma TV’s that will adorn the walls, Toby Keith’s I love This Bar & Grill will host live weekly music from both national and local country acts.

Rooms will be available to rent for parties and other corporate events.

This nationwide enterprise is more than just a restaurant, bar and live music venue, it hosts charity events for Susan G. Komen and Veteran Associations. Anytime American service men and women visit one of the restaurants, they receive a free meal and drink.

Frank Capri and his restaurants also participate in ACM Lifting Lives. This organization is funded by the Academy of Country Music, and it donates to The Make-a-Wish Foundation and other charities.
