Hazel Lee Hyde, 95, born Oct.16, 1912 in Fowler, Calif., died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008 at her home in Fairhope.
She married Jack Hyde Jan. 20, 1951.
She traveled the world with her beloved husband and was a strong inspiration to her family. She loved to read books, tend her garden, study the stock reports and talk with family and friends. She was still proudly driving her red Cadillac around Fairhope at age 95.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include a son, States (Louise) Hines; granddaughters, Marilee (Sam) Lowe Sherilyn (Greg) McNally, Stacy (Michael) Schobert; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A private family service is planned in Fairhope. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 Teilman Ave., Fresno, Calif.
