Roger Dale Hunter, 59, a native of Pensacola and a longtime resident of Daphne, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 1, 2007.
He was employed at the USS Alabama Battleship Park for over 18 years, where he restored plans and other military equipment on display. He was a Civil War re-enactor and collected all types of military memorabilia. He loved to make people laugh.
Survivors include his children, Johnny C. Hunter of Cape Coral, Fla., and Terry Dale Hunter of Pensacola; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are by Hughes Cremation & Funeral Services of Daphne.
