John R. Hunter Jr., 82, of Foley, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne Hunter of Foley; son, John R. Hunter III of Jackson, Miss.; daughter, Cindi Ann Hunter of Decatur; two step-sons, S.C. Sloan of Houston and D.C. Sloan of Decatur; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Murphy of Birmingham and Betty Blackwell of Dectur; and a brother, William Hunter of Birmingham.
A private family beachside memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 28.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Gulf Shores or to the Presbyterian Church Children’s Home.
