Miriam H. “Mimi” Howell, 82, a native of Huntsville and a resident of Orange Beach, died Monday, May 11, 2009.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pensacola, Fla. She was a charter member and past president of the Ono Island Ladies Club, and an active member of the Auburn Knight Organization for the past 23 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel E. Hindman Sr., and Dorothy S. Hindman, sister, Jane Elizabeth Hindman and brother, Daniel E. Hindman Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Howell of Orange Beach; son, Daniel (Lisa) Howell of Nederland, Texas; daughter, Debra E. (George) Sinak of Gulf Shores; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
