Horace Wiggins, 79, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Bay Minette.

Mr. Wiggins was a native of Evergreen and a resident of Bay Minette since 1956.

He was a Korean War veteran, retired from International Paper, great husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Wiggins attended Southside Baptist Church.

His parents, three brothers, a sister and a grandson, Alan Booker, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris L. Wiggins of Bay Minette; two sons, Joey (Laurie) Wiggins of White House Fork and Michael (Joanette) Wiggins of Bay Minette; two daughters, Tammy E. Wiggins of Robertsdale and Vanessa Maholovich of Atmore; a brother, Elmer Wiggins of Evergreen; two sisters, Doris W. Conway of Bay Minette and Shelby Eley of Perkinston, Miss.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 2 p.m., at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore, with Dr. Larry Patterson officiating.

Burial will follow at Lottie New Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Raun Wiggins, Chris Phillippi, Jay Dyas, Brennen Stewart, Jacob Maholovich and Shane Caraway.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Booker, Evan Harbison and Norris Hall.
