Posted

Robertsdale was the recent host of a traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. The exhibit features a three-quarter scale replica of the famousVietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The traveling exhibit is 375 feet in length and stands 7.5 feet high at its tallest point. A mobile education center offers a timeline of the war and more information on the D.C. wall as well as a collection of items left at the wall. A local addition included information about Baldwin County residents who served. Volunteers in Robertsdale were on hand to help visitors find a name. Visitors had the opportunity to do name rubbings of individual service members’ names.
