Hodo has been an integral part of the Makos’ lineup for three seasons now and will join her teammates in their search for a third straight AHSAA state championship later this week in Oxford. She collected her 20th home run of the season in the South Regional championship tournament held in Gulf Shores last weekend and registered 18 home runs last season.
G.W. Long alum and current Troy Trojan Libby Baker set the national and Alabama record for career home runs with 87 in 2019.
Over the summer, Hodo was chosen as the No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2026 by Legacy and Legends Softball. She was joined by classmate Teagan Revette (No. 30) in representing the Makos on the list. After last spring season, Hodo was recognized as a first-team all-state designated hitter by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.
