Preservation of historic buildings on Fairhope Avenue will be the topic of a public meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, in City Council chambers.
The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the advantages of historic preservation including tax credits, preservation easements, insurance for historic properties and possible building codes for historic buildings.
Guest speakers will architectural historian David Schneider from Anniston, and Devereaux Bemis with the Mobile Historic Commission.
