Hilley set to sign his latest thriller

Attorney-turned-author Joe Hilley will sign copies of Night Rain, his latest legal thriller, Saturday, June 16, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Crossroads Bookstore in Mobile. The store is located at 1401 Hillcrest Road (corner of Grelot and Hillcrest).

Set along the Gulf Coast, Night Rain begins as a hurricane sweeps across Dauphin Island, a barrier island near the mouth of Mobile Bay.

Dibber Landry waits for the eye of the storm to pass so he can plunder beach houses damaged by the storm. He finds more than he wants when he stumbles onto a dead body.

Outside, a hurricane rages, but it’s nothing compared to the storm brewing in Night Rain.

Hilley is a native Alabamian, born in Birmingham and reared in Grand Bay near the vast expanses of marsh grass and low country, which provide the backdrop for his books.

His previous novels, Sober Justice, Double Take and Electric Beach were released to great acclaim.
