Barbara Jean Heyer, 78, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 in Fairhope.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Robertsdale. She was a longtime dietary assistant of Prividence Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joseph John Heyer; a son, Michael Heyer; three brothers, Bud, Harold and Frankie Busby; two sisters, Juanita Dixon, and Pauline Lloyd.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Annette Presley of Semmes, Helena Jean (Ray) Williams of San Angelo, Texas; three sons, Joseph Vincent (Susan) Heyer of Eight Mile, John Franklin (Ellen) Heyer of Signal Mountain, Tenn., Paul Edward (Ann) Heyer Sr. of Loxley; 13 grandchildren, Kenneth Williams, Ragena Gamez, Stephanie Bassenger, Jeremy Heyer, Chuck Heyer, Jessica Heyer-Smith, Christina Heyer, Matthew Heyer, Paul Edward Heyer, Jr., Lori Heyer-Cluck, Angi Madden, Buck Presley, Stephen Presley; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to four angels who were sent to help care for Mrs. Heyer: Beverly Davis, Rikitti Odom, Irma Young and Tempe Phillips.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Graveside services will follow at 10:15 a.m. at Belforest Catholic Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Patrick's Catholic School Scholarship Fund.
