Herman Beverly Sutton, 83, of Elberta died Saturday, July 20, 2013 with his family by his side.

Beverly was born in Mobile and was a graduate of UMS.

He worked at Brookley AFB and Union Carbide in Mobile, and retired from NAS Pensacola after 20-plus years in supply operations.

He had owned rental homes most of his life and prior to moving to Elberta in 2005, was a resident of Pensacola and Gulf Shores.

Beverly is survived by two sons, Larry Sutton of Elberta and Rodney Sutton of Ohio; a brother, John Fred Sutton of Irvington; grandsons, Joshua Allen Sutton, Justin Allen Sutton and Craig Justin Stinson; great-grandson, Connor Stinson; and a close family friend and caregiver, Kathy Williams.

Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Daphne. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hughes Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment with military honors will be in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to any veterans service organization.
