ROBERTSDALE - Newspapers In Education is a nationwide program where local newspapers are delivered to school classmates at all grade levels to be used as learning tools.

This program has been highly successful in improving learning and reading skills as much as 20 percent and causing marked improvement in grammar, history, science and other subjects as well.

Due to school cutbacks this program is more important than ever. This year we have many more Baldwin County classrooms requesting newspapers than we have sponsors and these classes need your help.

We at Gulf Coast Newspapers, L.L.C. are seeking more businesses and private citizens to sponsor Baldwin County public and private school classrooms for the 2009 school year. Of course, sponsorship is tax deductible.

We will demonstrate our appreciation of your support for this program by running a complimentary business card sized ad for your firm or a recognition of you twice weekly in all eight of our newspapers throughout Baldwin County for the entire school year.

You will also receive a letter of appreciation from Gulf Coast Newspapers to post in your office. Many times, classrooms will write to their sponsors to thank them. Education is the future of our country, and your support of this program is greatly appreciated.

There are multi-level sponsorships. This can be paid with a check, cash or credit card. It can be paid in full or installment billed.

If you have questions or would like to obtain a sponsorship, please call Pam at (251) 626-9300. Thank you for your time and attention to this important matter.
