"font-family:">Helen Marie Sirmon Allen, 64, a native of Elsanor and resident of the Styx River community-Robertsdale, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011.
"font-family:">Mrs. Allen was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She retired from Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
"font-family:">She was preceded in death by her father, Hilbert Sirmon; and brother, Randy Sirmon.
"font-family:">She is survived by her husband, Mike Allen of the Styx River community-Robertsdale; mother, Serena Sirmon of Elsanor; four sisters, Eileen (Don) Jefferson of Semmes, Susan (Albert) Lawley of Fairhope, Peggy (Gene) Jacobson and Nancy (O’Neil) Stabler, both of Summerdale; brother, Tom (Neba) Sirmon of Pensacola; mother-in-law, Elaine Allen of the Styx River community-Robertsdale; and a host of nieces and nephews.
"font-family:">Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at 10 a.m., at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Mitch Nelson officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday, from 9-10 a.m., at the church prior to the service.
