Learn about heart health in a new, and perhaps, fun way.
Go to Homestead Village in Fairhope on Wednesday, July 25 and play “Are You Heart-Smarter Than A 5th Grader?” against some local 11-year-olds.
Ralph S. Buckley, M.D., a cardiologist with Cardiology Associates, will take some of the elements of the popular television game show and use them to see just how much we know about heart health.
Basic aspects of cardiology will be covered, such as risk factors, prevention, diagnostic tests, treatments, lifestyle, nutrition, exercise and more.
Buckley will be joined by a small panel of local fifth-graders, including his daughter.
Members of the audience can play along for fun. Small prizes will be awarded.
“Are You Heart-Smarter Than A 5th Grader” will be in the Camellia Room of Homestead Village, located at 924 Plantation Blvd., in Fairhope. It will begin promptly at 12 noon.
The talk is open to the public, but space is limited, so call Tiffieny Jackson at Homestead Village at 929-0285 and reserve your seat.
For more information, call Cindy Cazalas at Cardiology Associates, 990-1957.
