Hazel Ann Rogers Bengtson flew away with angels on Friday morning, Sept. 6, 2013.

She was born in Streator, Ill. on Jan. 23, 1932 to the late George and Anna Rogers. She followed her parents to Florida in the ’50s.

She was hired at Chemstrand and retired under Monsanto after 30 years. She enjoyed retirement to the fullest.

She was a member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church and had many adventures with the church’s Keenager group.

She volunteered at Manna Food Bank, and appreciated the social events and bingo at Felix Miza Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by her three children, Debra Lanton (Darren Gipson), Donna Bengtson (Doug McBride) and Alan Bengtson (Mary Deriso); three grandchildren, Lorelei Lanton (great grandson Mason), Kyle Wingard and Alex Bengtson; sister, LaVonne LeBlanc (Louie); and brother, Bill Rogers; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Pensacola. A visitation will begin there one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.
