Having trouble with noise in your area?

An open letter to the citizens of Fairhope:

Please be aware that the City Council is currently reviewing the city of Fairhope noise ordinances as a result of numerous complaints from Fairhope residents living in neighborhoods within close distances to establishments that offer live entertainment and outdoor liquor service.

I live near the corner of Bancroft and Equality, one of the affected neighborhoods, and have been working for the last four months to remedy the noise problem among many other related issues. The various city agencies have been very helpful in dealing specifically with my neighborhood’s problems, to a large degree because they hear from us regularly.

Please join me in communicating with our City Council, and let them know how concerned we all are about the noise levels damaging our neighborhoods.

If you have any questions for me, or would like to join forces in promoting the enforcement of the existing noise ordinances, please contact me at 251-517-5255 or by e-mail at mark.polon@riisnet.com.
