The Book Factory at the Tanger Outlet Center in Foley will be the setting for a night of magical adventure Friday evening, July 20, at 10:30, as “Harry Potter Comes to Tanger!”

That is as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book in J.K. Rowling’s fantastic series makes its debut an hour-and-a-half later at 12:01 a.m.

Dally in Tanger’s outdoor Diagon Alley Flea Market while awaiting the midnight countdown to the release of the long-awaited book. Obtain your galleons (goblin gold) at Gringotts Bank and grab your Hogwarts School List for securing along the route items needed for the upcoming magical year.

Professor McGonagall’s Transfiguration Station (face painting and hair wraps), the Sorting Hat Photo Stop where young wizards receive pictures of themselves in the Sorting Hat and Slug & Jiggers Apothecary all await your perusal.

And come “see” the future through Professor Trelawney’s magical powers. One never knows what wizardry happenings may develop on this amazing evening.

The Magical Menagerie will feature photos of fantastical creatures that are up for adoption at the Baldwin County Humane Society. Just take the photo of the pet you want to adopt and contact the society’s muggles to secure your chosen creature.

You’ll want to don your Potter-related duds as a Nimbus 2000 will be awarded for the Best Costume (i.e., Harry, Hermione, Ron, Professor Snape, house elf or other creative character). More than one winner may be awarded.
