Harry Louis Boback Sr., 88, a native of Erie, Pa. and a resident of Fairhope, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 in Fairhope.
He was the longest serving member of the PIAA, with more than 60 years of service as a basketball and football official.
Harry was a U.S. Navy veteran, and a longtime champion golfer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Valentine Elizabeth Boback.
He is survived by his sons, Harry Boback Jr. of Fairhope and John Boback of Erie, Pa.; and granddaughter, Kate Boback of Fairhope.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Erie, Pa.
