Junius “Jake” Martin Harmon, 87, a native of Johns and resident of Fairhope for the past 48 years, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at his residence.

He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a retiree of Mercury Freight Lines.

Survivors include his wife Emogene “Jean” Harmon of Fairhope; son, Terry (Sheila) Harmon of Lucedale, Miss.; two daughters, Celia Wallace of Mobile and Cathe Steele of Silverhill; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Louie C. Wilson, Dr. Ken Ellingwood, Dr. Lee Irvin, Dr. Barry Booth and special nurses.

Visitation will be held from 11 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 20 at the family home place, 2984 Mud Creek Road, Adger. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Mud Creek Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
