Alisha Jane Hamrick and Brandon Joseph Stokes were united in marriage June 9, 2007 at the Erie Meyer Civic Center in Gulf Shores with Ed Norris officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hamrick of Gulf Shores.

She is a graduate of Gulf Shores High School. She received her nursing degree from the University of North Alabama. She works at a hospital in Orlando as a nurse for women’s health.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Stokes of Calhoun, Ga.

He is a graduate of Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Toledo, Ohio. He is the assistant men’s tennis coach at the University of Central Florida.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, John Hamrick, wore a Maggie Sottero, two-piece strapless white gown and she carried a bouquet of white oriental lilies with seagrass.

Ashley Sterling of Madison, Tenn., served as maid of honor. Stacey Paramore of Loxley served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen Hasty of Gulf Shores, Rachel Myers of Gulf Shores, Elaina Tirador of Gulf Shores, Devon Stokes, sister of the bridegroom, of Ohio; Jennifer Phillips of Guyton, Ga., and Alicia White of Vinemont. They wore tea-length dresses in the color of honeydue.

Scott Timcisko of University Heights, Ohio, served as best man. Groomsmen were Charlie Ziegler of Duluth, Ga., Matt Nocente of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Todd Bilius of Brooklyn, N.Y., Matt Hill of Tuscaloosa, and Alex Hamrick, brother of the bride, of Gulf Shores.

Flower girls were Dallyss Hamrick of Noblesville, Ind., and Claire King of Tuscaloosa. Ring bearer was Mason Tinch of Indianapolis.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Mitchell and Chelsea Sims. The ceremony was planned for the beach, but because of inclement weather, the beach ceremony was held at the Erie Meyer Civic Center and decorated with a beach theme by Our House Productions.

A reception at the Civic Center, catered by Two Friends and Company, followed the ceremony.

Entertainment was provided by Bo Roberts and the Port City Allstars.

After a wedding trip to St. Martin, the couple live in Orlando, Fla.
