Quitman Hamm, 81, a native o f Covington County, and a resident of Robertsdale, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007.
He was an active member of the Robertsdale Church of Christ, enjoyed watching football, hunting and fishing. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was actively involved with his business, Hamm Pecan Company and Hamm Enterprises established in 1991.
Survivors include his wife Mary Bell Hamm of Robertsdale; three daughters, Linda Louise Odom and Brenda Hamm, both of Robertsdale and Cindi Ann Hamm of Atlanta; four sisters, Louise Mills of Dothan, Ira Mae Davis and Myra Rogers, both of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Faye Grenga of Amherst, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the Robertsdale Church of Christ with Slate Moore officiating. Burial followed at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery in Robertsdale.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Robertsdale Church of Christ.
Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
