ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — It’s October in Central Baldwin County and that means lots of fun for kids and adults alike. There are a multitude of activities going on this weekend as Halloween approaches on Sunday.
Wales West in Silverhill will be welcoming everyone to come out and enjoy the 6th Annual Halloween Pumpkin Patch Express and Ghoul Family Night Train until Saturday, October 30. They will be open weekdays from 10 a,m, to 1 p.m. (by reservation), Friday night 5 -9 p.m. and weekends 1-9 p.m. The scary ghoul train will run nightly from 5-9 p.m. Located on County Road 9, 1.5 miles south of County Road 48 or 2.5 miles north of County Road 32 near Fairhope. The Robertsdale Rotary Club will be having “Doc’s Haunted Swamp” on Saturday, October 30, from 6-9:30 p.m. at 22100 College Ave. in Robertsdale. A walk-through trail open to children of all ages and free to the public, this event benefits the local Veteran’s Home. Refreshments will be sold and donations are welcome. Two area churches will be having activities this weekend as well. First Baptist Church of Robertsdale is hosting a Fall Festival on Sunday, October 31 from 6-7:30 p.m. where there will be “Trunk or Treat”, games, food and a hay ride, said Melissa Cruz, event coordinator.

First Baptist Church of Loxley will also be having G.L.O.W. Fest (God Lights Our Way) on Saturday, October 30 from 6-8 p.m. Pastor Bo Rice said there will be plenty of food, games, fun and candy available and encourages everyone to come out and enjoy some family fun. Rosinton Elementary School will be having their annual Fall Festival on Friday, October 29, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. with lots of fun, cotton candy, popcorn, a hay ride, a super slide and a ton of candy for everyone to enjoy. Any donations of hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, gif cards, chips, paper products, pens, pencils, stickers and arts and crafts are welcome. Alabama Gulf Coast Christian Academy will also be having their Fall Festival on Friday, October 29 from 4-6 p.m. There will be games, food, candy and a gift basket silent auction for all to enjoy.
