Elizabeth “Liz” Kinsey Guthrie, 96, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 in Foley.
She was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church in Bon Secour and taught primary Sunday school for 24 years. She was a member of Foley Chapter #142, Order of the Eastern Star, Fort Bowyer Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Charles S. Stewart Chapter #2390, United Daughters of the Confederacy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hersey Guthrie.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and visitation were held Wednesday, Sept. 9 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley with Dr. Ben Hayes and the Rev. Marco Smith officiating. Interment followed at Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Foley.
