Gustav Carl Seavall a long-time resident of Foley died, Tuesday, March 13, 2012. He was 86 years old. He was born in Waukegan, Ill., in 1925. The family moved to a farm near Hebron, Ill., in 1930 where Gus grew up enjoying playing basketball, graduating from high school in 1943. Gus married Jacqueline Lois Warden on Sept. 30, 1950 at the Lutheran Church of South Beloit Illinois. They lived in Alden, Ill., and later in Walworth, Wisc., where he worked a variety of jobs including a painting and maintenance position with Bowman Dairy. They moved to Crystal Lake, Illinois where they lived and Gus worked for Union Oil of California. The Seavalls retired and moved to Foley in 1988. Mr. Seavall was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Seavall Butcher. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Seavall; daughter, Nancy Seavall (Greg) Adrian; grandchildren, Brent A. Adrian; Summer Adrian (German) Portillo; and great-grandchildren, Reese and Lucy Portillo; son, Brian Nels (Victoria Luster) Seavall and grandchildren, Savannah, Kaylee, Daniel, and Serenity; grandchildren, Steve Butcher, Charity Butcher (Tracy) Saunders, Cindy Butcher Stockwell; and grandchildren, Preston Butcher, Zachery and Catherin Janet; and brother Dr. Earl Seavall. Funeral services were March 17 at the First Presbyterian Church of Foley. Interment was in Pine Rest Memorial Park.
