Gunnery Sgt. Ollie James Bundy, 73, of Robertsdale, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011.
He was born April 19, 1937 to Jule O. Bundy and Bell Bundy.
He retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years of service and 15 years civil service at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Terry Wayne Bundy; sister, Sarah Mosley; and two brothers, Stanley Bundy and J.O. Bundy.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Phoebe B. Bundy of Robertsdale; son, Michael J. (Emma) Bundy of Robertsdale; daughter, Karen L. Woerner of Daphne; three brothers, Sollie (Carol) Bundy of Robertsdale, Jerry W. (Karen) Bundy and Bruce (Sandra) Bundy, both of Bay Mintte; three sisters, Marie (Tom) Hines of Pell City, Connie (Don) Price of Century, Fla., and Elaine (Fredrick) Mosley of Stapleton; sister-in-law, Linda Bundy; four grandchildren, Mary Felicia Woerner, Michelle Woerner (Dave) Beam, Taylor Bundy and Olivia Bundy; one great-granddaughter, Madison Beam; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28 at Mack Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1 from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery, Robertsdale.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Foley.
