Gulf Coast Media rebrands, redesigns website, adds countywide calendar

GulfCoastNewsToday.com is now GulfCoastMedia.com

The rebrand of Gulf Coast Media is part of shift to improve the local news options for residents of and tourists to Baldwin County, said Group Publisher Vince Johnson, who came to Gulf Coast Media in October.

A new-look logo and website accompanies the rebrand. A new Gulf Coast Event Calendar at GulfCoastMedia.com/calander also allows locals and tourists to find out what to do and where to go. The calendar allows free submissions, with expanded offers available for promoting upcoming events.

“Baldwin County has a lot of calendars, but they’re normally for a particular part of the county or an organization within it,” Johnson said. “This countywide calendar shows residents and tourists everything going on across Baldwin County and the areas just beyond it. It’s a gamechanger if you want to know what’s going on across our expansive county.”

The Gulf Coast Event Calendar is customizable for each user, meaning each visitor can change the location options to just include certain areas, or see a variety of event locations on a map.

The website, GulfCoastMedia.com, simplifies how to find local news in Baldwin County and allows for expansion.

“We’re going to be bringing contests to our community, audio and video options to our community,” Johnson said. “The community needs an online gathering place for reliable information, and GulfCoastMedia.com is going to be that, just as our community newspapers have been for more than a century.”

Gulf Coast Media produces The Baldwin Times, The Islander, The Onlooker and The Courier each week for residents of Baldwin County. The local media organization also produces Beachin’ magazine, the Gulf Coast Visitor Guide, Best of Baldwin, festival magazines and more.
