Gulf Shores police, family seek missing man

GULF SHORES, Ala. - The family of Phillip Martin Bird and the Gulf Shores Police Department’s Detective Bureau are asking for the public’s help to locate Bird.

On July 2 at 5 p.m., Bird was last seen at home in Gulf Shores. He left the location and has not been seen or heard from since. His family is extremely concerned for his welfare because he has a mental condition.

Bird is described as a 30-year-old white male with shoulder length red hair & blue eyes.  He is 5-feet11 and weighs about 285 pounds.  He was wearing a dark T-shirt, black pants and black shoes. 

Bird is driving his white 1999 Chevrolet S-10 pickup with Alabama plate 5A07S73.

Anyone with information on Bird’s whereabouts is asked to contact GSPD Detectives at 251-968-2431.
