The Gulf Shores Garden Club will host its 33rd annual Floral Seminar on Wednesday, Feb. 4, bringing a nationally recognized floral designer to Gulf Shores for a morning of education and entertainment.

The event will be held at Gulf Shores Methodist Church with doors opening at 9:15 a.m. and the seminar beginning at 10 a.m. Tickets are $25 and include light morning snacks.

This year’s featured presenter is Scot Wedgeworth, known as "Mr. Fabulous," a celebrity floral and event designer who has appeared on Bama Glama and The Food Network. Wedgeworth has served as lead designer for the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, and has designed events for former President George Bush, Dolly Parton, Elton John, Whoopi Goldberg, Tyler Perry, Dean Cain, Sela Ward, Miley Cyrus, Shania Twain, Reba McEntire and Paula Deen. His work has also been featured for musical groups including Widespread Panic and KISS.

In addition to the featured presentation, the seminar will include raffles, door prizes and other activities throughout the morning.

Tickets may be purchased in person at Thomas Norton Public Library, 221 W. 19th Ave. in Gulf Shores. Tickets may also be ordered by mail by calling Charlotte Higgins at (205) 410-3190.
