Gulf Shores, AL – Local artists and crafters will be selling their unique, original creations at “The Harvest – A Festival of Gifts” in Gulf Shores on Nov. 5.
Sponsored by the Gulf Shores United Methodist Church Mothers Day Out and Preschool program, this annual event will feature the works of local artists and crafters specializing in a variety of mediums including paintings, photography, jewelry, home décor, and wood crafts.
“The Harvest Festival honors and supports the talents of our local artists while offering a variety of special holiday gifts to the community,” says Lana Crawford, director of the Gulf Shores United Methodist Church Mothers Day Out and Preschool program.
New to the festival this year are local business sponsors; including Precision Imaging, Frances Holk-Jones State Farm, Wharf Rental Management, Sew Sweet, The Chocolate Corner, and Orlando & Sons Produce.
"The support of businesses wanting to be a part of this community event has been wonderful. Their support has enabled us to expand the festival to offer more to our shoppers,” says Crawford.
In addition to the local artists and crafters, the festival will feature a silent auction, a decorated pumpkin contest, free digital photos by Michelle White Originals, and a sweet shop. Admission and parking are free.
The first 300 families to shop will receive a free shopping bag. The Harvest will be from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the south campus of Gulf Shores United Methodist Church (1720 Gulf Shores Parkway - Winn Dixie Shopping Center). All proceeds will benefit the contributing local artists, Gulf Shores United Methodist Church, and provide scholarships for its Mothers Day Out and Preschool ministry.
