The second grade classes at GSES are so fortunate to have GS High School students from the Peer Tutoring class to come observe and participate in their classes three days per week for an hour each day during the reading block.

Gulf Shores Elementary School's second grade class welcomes GSHS Peer Helpers

The second grade classes at GSES are so fortunate to have GS High School students from the Peer Tutoring class to come observe and participate in their classes three days per week for an hour each day during the reading block.

The peer tutors read with the second grade students, help them practice skills such as inferring,comparing/contrasting, drawing conclusions and more. The second graders are more eager than ever to do their schoolwork when they get to have time with the peer tutors.
