Islander staff report

Jennifer Knight’s kindergarten class at Gulf Shores Elementary School sorted gummy bears by color then graphed the amounts during a math lesson to celebrate the Teddy Bear Picnic. The students got to bring their teddy bears to school to celebrate and perform lessons with them. The students are, from left, Carson Wright, Savanna Breeland, Audrey Boyd, River Hallex, and Max Kelban. After sorting and graphing the bears, the students got to eat them. It was fun for all.
