Gulf Coast Media has a cure for your football fever coming Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the inaugural Gulf Coast Media Day event at the Orange Beach Event Center.

Head football coaches from Baldwin County teams, plus players, will discuss the upcoming season and feature storylines to follow throughout the campaign.

The event is open to the public to attend, but if you can't make it, the interviews will be streamed live on the Gulf Coast Media Facebook page for all to view.

The morning schedule is set so make your plans to visit or watch Gulf Coast Media Day throughout the day Tuesday, Aug. 16.

The morning session will feature host Orange Beach and three-time state championship winning coach Jamey DuBose kicking things off at 10 a.m.

The Daphne Trojans, coached by former Trojan, Crimson Tide and NFL defensive lineman Kenny King, will be next at 10:30 a.m., before former college coach Mark Hudspeth and the Gulf Shores Dolphins take the stage at 11 a.m.

The Bayside Academy Admirals and veteran coach Phil Lazenby will step into the spotlight at 11:30 a.m. and the Baldwin County Tigers, coached by another veteran in Scott Rials, will round things out in the noon timeslot.

The new-look Robertsdale Golden Bears and Kyle Stanford will have the first afternoon interview starting at 12:30 p.m. before Alabama’s largest 5A school, the Elberta Warriors coached by Nathan McDaniel, gets in on the action at 1 p.m.

The Fairhope Pirates, led by a 30-senior group, will follow at 1:30 p.m. before yet another veteran coach, the Snook Christian Academy Eagles’ Keith Smith, rounds things out at 2:30 p.m.

Features on these teams, plus Baldwin County’s volleyball and cross country teams, will also be in the Fall Sports Preview tab scheduled to publish Aug. 26.

Gulf Coast Media's 2022 Media Day is presented by Planet Fitness and Baldwin Bone and Joint. For more information about becoming a sponsor or to advertise your business during the event, call your sales representative or email advertising@gulfcoastmedia.com.
