Gregg Russell Ginder, 62, born in Dennison, Texas and a resident of Fairhope, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013.

Gregg attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, was a former Mobile policeman, then went on to become an investigator for law firms in Baldwin and Mobile counties with 28 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Patty M. Ginder of Fairhope; three sons, Russell (Monica) Ginder of Nashville, Tenn., Micah Ginder of Orlando, Fla. and Casey Ginder of New Orleans; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Ginder and Margo Ginder, both of Nashville, Tenn.; brother, Gerry (Nori) Ginder of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two nieces, Katie Ginder of Hackensack, N.J. and Jordan Smith of Fairhope; nephew, John Thomas Ginder of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; numerous cousins and other loving relatives.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at 11 a.m., at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to USA Mitchell Cancer Institute, 650 Clinic Dr. Ste. 2150, Mobile, AL 36688.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the medical staff at USA Mitchell Cancer Institute for their caring ways.
