GULF SHORES, Ala. — Grace Lutheran Church will host the sixth annual free pancake breakfast /yard sale and bake sale on Saturday.  All residents and visitors are welcome.

The yard and bake sale will begin at 7 a.m. and continue until noon.  Furniture, clothes, household items, crafts and baked goods will be offered.

The church members will serve free pancakes and sausage from 7-11 a.m.  Grace Lutheran is located in Gulf Shores at the corner of West 23rd Avenue and West Fourth Street, which is about three blocks northwest of the Bodenhamer Recreation Center.  The breakfast is free, with an opportunity to give a voluntary cash gift to the Christian Service Center.

The event is intended to raise money for the Christian Service Center in Gulf Shores. Last year this effort raised $3,480 for the center.

The Christian Service Center provides help to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach residents and visitors who have a financial emergency by providing food, emergency housing, gasoline, utilities and medical expenses, and helps find other resources to meet needs.  The center is experiencing continued growth in the number of requests for assistance this year.  Grace Lutheran Church has partnered with the center for the past few years as a way of meeting the needs of our neighbors on the island.

Items may be donated for the sale by calling any of the numbers below, or by taking the item to Azalea Avenue Self Storage, (251-971-1717), 114 East Azalea Ave., in Foley.
