Gulf Shores, AL – The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo announced plans to move the zoo to higher and safer ground. The new zoo location is soon to change into a full-time construction zone. Now is your chance to see the new zoo grounds before the construction begins.
Join employees and friends of the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo for this special Sneak Peak occasion on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 2-5 p.m. The new location is at 20499 Oak Road E., or County Road 6, in Gulf Shores.
Take a short tour of the property, participate in arts and crafts, capture a photo with Mrs. Claus and Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo animals, see our Angel Tree and enjoy holiday treats.
Zoo Board Members and zoo employees will be on site to showcase the new zoo plans, lead property tours and answer questions on how you can help. This event is free of charge. The public is welcome.

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is operated by a not-for-profit corporation, Zoo Foundation, Inc., based in Gulf Shores, Ala. which helps preserve wildlife as well as educates the public about various and diverse species. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is home to more than 500 exotic animals including lions, tigers, bears, macaws, reptiles, and more! It also features a petting zoo, seasonal animal encounters, and interactive animals shows during the spring and summer months.
