Lighthouse Gospel Productions, a ministry of Romar Beach Baptist Church, recently announced a series of benefit gospel concerts to aid the Gulf Coast Disaster Relief Fund. The Gulf Coast Gospel Showcase runs from December through April and showcases some of the nation’s best known and most beloved gospel singers, including Squire Parsons, Danny Funderburk, Gold City, Talley Trio, The Pfeifers, The Lefevres and The Dove Brothers.

“We are overwhelmed by joy to have this incredible opportunity to help our fellow neighbors along the Alabama Gulf Coast,” said Paul Smith, pastor of RBBC. “Shortly after the Deepwater Horizon spill, we saw a need developing in our community.

“Families and non-profits, who were once able to pay utility bills, were now in dire need to assistance as they struggled to may these monthly payments. Our church responded by creating the Gulf Coast Disaster Relief Refund, and ticket sales go directly to this fund.”

Friday and Saturday evening performances will be at The Wharf’s Conference Center and start at 6 p.m. The Sunday concerts will be  at the church’s Orange Beach location (23370 Perdido Beach Blvd.) and begin at 9 a.m.

This weekend the five-month series kicks off Friday and features performances from His Song, The GloryMen and Southern Heritage. The uplifting songs return on Saturday with Squire Parsons, Sam Parsons, and The GloryMen. Sunday’s line-up showcases performances by Squire Parsons and Sam Parsons.

Tickets are not required for Sunday’s concert; however, a love offering will be taken. These first three concerts are being sponsored by the church along with Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism.

December features one additional concert on Sunday, the 12th, and the series returns after the holidays. For a detailed schedule, go to www.lighthousegospelproductions.com, or call 251-981-8966.

General admission is $10 while VIP is $20 with all ticket proceeds benefiting the relief fund.
