Goodwill Gulf Coast is bringing Santa Claus and his reindeer to the Gulf Coast for the first time in the 30-year history of its “Christmas on the Coast” ornament series, with the 2026 designs celebrating the holiday season in Mobile and Pensacola.

According to a news release, the limited-edition gold-plated ornaments will go on sale Monday, Nov. 2, at Goodwill Gulf Coast retail stores, participating vendors and online. Each ornament costs $20, with all proceeds supporting the organization’s programs and services.

The annual ornaments have become treasured collectibles for Gulf Coast residents over the past three decades. This year’s designs introduce Santa and his reindeer into scenes featuring familiar landmarks in both cities.

The Mobile ornament depicts Santa and his reindeer soaring across the night sky above the city’s skyline. The design highlights Mobile’s historic architecture and festive holiday lights, blending the magic of Christmas with the city’s distinctive character.

The Pensacola ornament features Santa and his sleigh flying over Pensacola Beach and past the iconic Pensacola Beach water tower. Originally built as a water storage tank, the tower is known for its distinctive spherical shape and colorful beach-ball design, which was added in 2012.

Proceeds from ornament sales help fund Goodwill Gulf Coast programs that educate, train and employ thousands of people with disabilities and others who face barriers to success each year. Services include job training and placement, along with support programs for youth and parents.

PAST ORNAMENTS AVAILABLE AT REDUCED PRICES

Collectors will also have an opportunity to expand their collections this holiday season. For the first time, “Christmas on the Coast” ornaments issued from 1994 through 2023 will be available for $10 each, half their original price.

“Now is the perfect time to complete your collection or pick up the ornament you’ve always wanted,” Barry Reed, Jr., president and CEO of Goodwill Gulf Coast, said in the release.

WHERE TO BUY THE 2026 ORNAMENTS

In the Mobile area, the 2026 ornaments will be available at Al’s Hot Dogs & Other Fine Foods; Cammie’s Old Dutch Ice Cream Shoppe; Carpe Diem Coffee & Tea; Christmas Round the Corner in Fairhope; Do Goods Mercantile Co.; The Holiday; Springhill Ace Hardware; The Urban Emporium; Zundel’s Jewelry and Goodwill stores in Mobile, Semmes, Saraland, Fairhope, Spanish Fort and Foley.

In the Pensacola area, participating vendors include Beré Jewelers; Joe Patti’s Seafood; J.W. Renfroe Pecan Company and Members First Credit Union. The ornaments will also be available at Goodwill stores in Pensacola, Pace, Ensley and Fort Walton Beach.

The 2026 ornaments can be purchased in stores, through participating vendors or online for $20 each. All proceeds benefit Goodwill Gulf Coast’s programs and services.
